Netherlands in top 5 Chinese online shopper

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Chinese consumers buy many products online, that doesn’t come as a surprise. However, they are increasingly buying products from overseas online retailers. According to China E-commerce Research Center, Chinese online shoppers purchased for over €9.2 billion on overseas e-shops last year. The total amount of sales is estimated to reach €17.2 billion this year.

Netherlands is ranked number 4 on the list of most popular countries where Chinese shop online. Milk powder is purchased most frequently, followed by fashion, make-up and health supplement products. Furthermore, premium clothing and luxury products were purchased more often from overseas retailers last year.

The Chinese consumer seeks authentic, high quality products and is willing to pay a premium. These online shoppers are predominantly interested in foreign beauty products, baby care and food. According to research executed by Tmall Global, Chinese language customer service, faster & cheaper shipping, as well as a secure payment system are highly valued.
